Firstly, thank you for visiting my website. I wanted to get together a few little bits about my world and share them with you (the rest will be saved for the book). I was lucky enough to start dancing aged 7 years old, purely because my older sister went each week and I was sat in the car so said "Why don't I do it too?"
I went to a dance school in North London called Lenvon, a very family-run school. Many happy memories of being part of the shows and festivals over many, many years.
When I was 16 years old I moved to Essex to train professionally for 3 years at Performers College. Very different going from a 3 day a week dance school to a full-time performing arts college, I loved every minute of it. At college, we had amazing work experience and I got to perform with Sir Elton John at the Royal Albert Hall during that time, as long as many other incredible opportunities (backing dancing for Gloria Gaynor in Amsterdam, dancing on a BBC2 TV show with Richard Fairbrass of Right Said Fred fame, chucking Debbie McGee around the London Palladium stage at a big charity event, endless opportunities).
After college I went straight into the world of musical theatre working on (in chronological order): 42nd Street (tour), West Side Story (tour), My One and Only (West End), Babes in Arms (Cardiff), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (West End), 42nd Street (Stuttgart, Germany), Elisabeth (Stuttgart, Germany), 3 Muskitiere (Stuttgart, Germany), Singin' in the Rain (tour), Shaun's Big Show (tour).
Since hanging up my dancing shoes I've spent many a year teaching for various dance schools, I worked as a film extra, on a part-time basis, which has led to better and bigger opportunities. I was lucky to have choreographed and performed a short dance with Matt Berry in Toast of Tinseltown (Channel 4), been the football double for Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, the assistant registrar for Ian and Jane Collins' wedding in the live Eastenders episode in 2015, to mention a few!
Although there have been some incredible moments and people I've been lucky enough to meet and work with, one of my biggest achievements came in 2022 when (after 3 auditions) I was cast as one of the 8 Mattel Executive Dancers in the worldwide smash hit movie Barbie.
