We Make Footballers

In 2017 I attended a big business event at Earls Court, purely for self-development. At these events you always see the big brands, I attended some of their seminars to find out more. Nothing really took my interest but I did see Steve Parish (Crystal Palace FC chairman) was talking on the main stage so I mooched over to listen and watch Steve talk about his journey. Before Steve was on stage there was a little-known guy on, he owned a social media company called Social Chain and sounded like they were doing really well. As I was early I sat and listened to this early 20-something guy talk, big black hat, black t-shirt, a guy called Steven Bartlett. I thoroughly enjoyed his take on business, very wise man for his years and spoke so captivatingly. From that day I've followed his journey from setting up his podcast, to being a Dragon on BBC's Dragons Den. This was just one of those days that would change my life. After Steven and Steve had delivered their words of wisdom, I had a quick browse, around the stands, and just before jumping on the train home, I started chatting to Sean and Iuri from a company called We Make Footballers. They had just started franchising out, they talked the talk and walked the walk and was sold. A few months later I was attending my franchise training in Twickenham and I was launching a football coaching company in North London. This was a purely passion project, I love football, have played at only a school team level and here I was launching a new franchise business. In 2017 I launched, the now, second-biggest franchise in the country!

This is exactly why franchising is a fantastic industry. As the head of the BFA (British Franchise Association), Pippa Watkins says "As a present, why not buy your child a franchise and secure their future", which I fully agree with.
